“My disgust at the news report about the closing down of the care home in Burley”

Hello it’s Tommy reporting. I just like to say my disgust at the news report on BBC North West, about the closing down of the care home in Burley which is throwing the people with the most severe dementia out, practically onto the street. Moving people who have lived in that home and then put them into a strange environment, I just can’t think of anything which is going to be more distressing for them…. it’s distressing for the family but for the person with dementia, it’s going to be horrendous, they’ll have made friends there and suddenly their friends are being whipped away from them, and they’re going to be put in places with complete strangers, complete staff, people who don’t understand them…oh it’s so maddening.
