Hello, Dementia Diaries and what a wonderful, wet and dull and horrible Tuesday morning it is, but down here in Kent this is Wayne and just a quick and short entry.
I’ve had a lovely start to the day because I had a video meeting with a Head of Department – the Head of the – oh, I’m not sure what it is, the Dementia Services Department of the University of Tasmania, in Australia and they’ve asked me if I’d be happy to do an occasional, once a month Zoom video meeting for an hour with the Masters Degree course in Dementia Studies, so that the students will get the chance to ask questions and learn about the – living with Dementia, because even though they are doing the course and do have chances to be around Dementia, they don’t very often get the chance to communicate that much with somebody living with Dementia, so a wonderful fruiting thing and out of this has already been talk of podcasts and there was something else as well, but I can’t remember what that is, but yeah, wonderful!
So I’m going to get the chance, at least once a month, if not more as other courses start joining, to have videos with Australia and start teaching them a bit more about Dementia. How magic! And I’ve already told them all about the Dementia Diaries and apparently the Dementia Diaries does get used on the course already, so it will be wonderful if the video side, the Dementia video Diaries picks up more, ‘cos then they can see – see us, see our faces, or see how happy or sad or angry we are about things,
But yeah, great stuff, catch you all later,
Bye for now.
