A lovely diary from Godinton Gardens from Wayne. “Another world”

Here I am, sitting on a bench and if I remember, I can put this picture up of what I’m seeing in front of me, sitting right beside the pond and here at Godinton House or whatever out in the gardens, and just met a lady and her little – little boy that actually live here.
And I’m just sitting here and if – (laughs) – if I didn’t know otherwise, ‘cos I can hear my voice, I could imagine that maybe I’d gone deaf, because there’s no sounds, you can’t hear planes, you can’t hear cars. It is just – just – just birds and it’s just – and people – we’re here with loads and loads of other people, as you’ve seen in the pictures, but everybody’s off wandering and doing their own thing in the different bits of the garden, and I’ve come round to the far side of the pond and just sitting here and it’s like some other – some other world. Beautiful, beautiful world, but some other world.
I would say I wish you were here, but I don’t, ‘cos I’m loving it without you! Sorry – bye!
