Wayne feels like things are closing down again…….

Well. Here we are: Wayne, out on Sports England’s Stepping Out Walk, and as promised to Steve I would do a Dementia Diary, and I decided that I’m going to do two: I’d do a sort of video one about the day and how lovely it is here, and then, probably this one, which could turn into a whingy one! I’ve been waiting to try and piece together how to do a, like a whingy one, but I wanted it to be a nice day so I didn’t get too whingy and bad.

This is a beautiful day out in the wilds and countryside of Kent at Godinton House, and I thought: oh, well this is a good place to bring up and complain about so many things being cancelled, and, just that it seems like life seems to be being almost closing down. We went through this spell of opening up after Covid, and now everybody’s going on strike, and things are closing, and you can’t get here, and there’s roadworks everywhere, and every time you book a cab for anything it turns up late, it’s like the world is closing down again, but without Covid this time.

So I don’t know what’s going on. We still seem to be having troubles getting hospital appointments and doctor’s appointments, I mean my doctor’s surgery has opened again after two and a half years but you still can’t get an appointment! And, I heard on the news this morning about this trouble with people taking a year to get a dental appointment, and all sorts of things. I mean, what’s the world coming to, it’s like, all these – not excuses, but it’s like, all these things changed during the time of Covid and now nothing is going back to how it was.

So, just give us our life back. Dementia nicks enough. We want life back, thank you very much! Bye for now! [chuckling]
