“Their perceptions of what a person with dementia is like had changed dramatically”

Hi, it’s Tommy report.

I had the pleasure today to speak to bus drivers and managers about how they can make or break a person with dementia’s bus journey experience. We were pleased to say that without fail, each of the drivers I spoke to said that their perceptions of what a person with dementia is like had changed dramatically.

It was also pleasing that while we there at the depot it caused a lot discussion in the mess room. We came away with a warm glow of knowing that in the future the travel experience of people with dementia travelling on those buses will have been enhanced.

End of report.
