George Rook talks about the importance of Managing Medication
Hello it’s George again
Just wanted to talk about my medication today. In the last few weeks I have made some tremendous mess ups – one week I didn’t take any anti-depressant, wondered why I was going down hill into a black hole and then realised. Another week I didn’t take my Donepezil in the evening just wondering again why I was going down into a black hole.
So about 2 weeks ago I decided to go to my GP and ask for a weekly tray or packages or plastic containers of the pills. Because I take I think it is15 or 17 different medications at different times of the day for various things. I must admit for the first week or two I didn’t trust it and the pharmacist made a couple of errors by putting pills in the wrong time of day which left me feeling terrible. But it’s worked out now and this week (God willing)everything’s fine. So I recommend it – talk to your pharmacist – It’s not always possible but if you start making mistakes like I did then it’s really worth it, because if you forget to take those key ones like anti-depressants or Donepezil you really come to a very abrupt and quick downfall. So hopefully you’ll be okay in the future.
That’s all for now. Bye
