Tracey talks about the difficulties she finds in using the telephone some days
Oh hello its Tracey. It’s been a while since I last rang and I, erm that’s because sometimes I can’t use the phone. I find it hard to use the phone, erm but today’s a good day because erm it is. I can’t fathom why it is, just I’ve been on the phone ringing lots of people up, so all the things or people I’ve been putting off, erm its funny how the things we take for granted like using the phone or our voice or anything that should come automatically and be ok. Erm some days I find it hard speaking, erm, I see a speech therapist I think I’ve spoke of this before. Erm I see her every eight weeks and I try to formulate my words better , erm but I still think with the phone as being a scary thing to use most of the time these days, erm and I don’t know why I just, its just , some times if my speech isn’t always very clear. I mean like I was in the garden yesterday and I heard my neighbour in the garden, her garden and all of a sudden I couldn’t even think of how to speak to her to get the words out, which is absolutely ridiculous when you think something so automatic should come routinely but sometimes it doesn’t. Erm i just wanted to say that you know todays a good day for me, erm ringing up people that you’ve been putting off for six months, erm sorting out erm important stuff as well, its so important to get things sorted you need to whilst you can, like erm ringing up talking to my sister about getting my will sorted out which I have done recently, erm and not letting something so silly scare me, but I have to be erm my speech has to be quite clear first to be able to speak to people on the phone , any way have a good day ,
Bye now .
