Dory

Hi This is Dory, I would just like to tell you Dory’s story.
My names Teresa, AKA dory and this is my story.
I am a mother of two, a Grandmother of three, I was a landscape gardener for 25 years. That was ended after a very bad accident where my neck was broken in four places and a smashed up leg, so I spent three years recovering from that and learning to walk again.
I then got the diagnosis at 59 with early onset dementia and I went into a very dark place but after getting involved with DEEP and Dementia Diaries I must say it has changed my life and I feel a lot happier now than, it sounds really strange but I feel a lot happier now than before dementia so, and that’s because I feel connected and supported by the people that I meet and the organisers of DEEP and Dementia Diaries. Yes this is Dory’s story really, this is me, anyway thank you to DEEP and Dementia Diaries and all you lovely people that have become friends, thank you.
