“He’s actually one of my heroes, he’s always been around me”

– by Paul Hitchmough

“Just having a nice quiet day today. It’s my birthday, I’m 63 years of age. Waiting for my grandkids to come around now, and then we’ll have a charlie’s banquet in the house. A few glasses of wine and stuff so I’m looking forward to that.

In the news today it was about, Glen Campbell, the musician, there’s a bit of fight going on about his money, and he’s in a [care] home now, and his children want him to stay in a home with them, and his wife wants him in the home. So it’s all getting a bit messy, he’s actually one of my heroes, he’s a fantastic jazz guitarist, fantastic musician and singer. He’s always been around me, Glen Campbell, even when he played with The Beach Boys, sad to see him this way but nevertheless that’s the way life goes. ”
