Dory visits the MacIntyre Dementia Project

Hi it’s Dory here. I’ve just got back from Milton Keynes where I was guest speaker for the MacIntyre Dementia Special Interest Group. It was a really good day. Oh gosh, It sounds like I was surprised that it was a good day there.
It was a really good day a nice group of people attended and very friendly. I would say I was a little bit worried before we started. The facilator announced that in the past they have had Chris Roberts speaking , Keith Oliver , Howard Gordon( I think that’s right, sorry Howard if I got it wrong) so I thought ohh they are big shoes to fill to follow on in. Nothing else was going at the time. Talked about Dementia diaries and a few people have listened to Dementia diaries.
Oh my the last of my leaflets went and the big leaflets and have taken some of the recent newsletter with me and they all went. So there was lots of interest.
We had a lady came in who did some , and we all sat round in a circle and it’s sounds a bit , we played musical instruments and sang and I really enjoyed it. (Laughter )We didn’t sing the Vera Lynn , it was more up to date music So maybe that’s why and I even got up to dance. A good day all in all.
I am now back home with my little dog. My friends had her. It looked like they have had a party , things all over the kitchen floor ( all sorts ) (laughter)
Ok then , that’s it bye.
