Calls from his sister and daughter brightens a long weekend.
Yeah, hi. Sunday today isn’t it. Bit of a boring old day really, nothing much doing. The weather was rubbish too. Yeah, but there you go, that’s the weather for you.
Sister rang me up this morning, so that was good. Had a bit of a chat, good old chinwag there. She lives up in Norfolk/Cambridge border and she rings us up every week, or I ring her up. And I spoke to me daughter this morning as well, on Facetime. Yeah, that was good. Nice to keep in touch with them while we can’t see them. I dunno, but hopefully by next month, we should hopefully able to meet up in the garden, that’ll be good. At least that’s something, innit, for a while. Got to be so careful because she works in a hotel, so she can be around a lot of people. And I just think it’s going to be madness down here soon, absolute madness, and I think we’re going to suffer for it come Autumn time. You know, that’s just my opinion but I think that’s the way it could go.
I guess there’s a lot of people down here now at the moment. Roads are busy. But we’ll see. But I just get this funny feeling that end of summer we’re going to be in the same problem again. I hope we’re not, but. I’ve just got this stupid, funny feeling that we could be. I’m hoping it’s not, but, you know, one never knows do you? We’ll just have to see.
