James wonders if helplines are busy supporting people worried they may have dementia but unable to get a diagnosis.

Good afternoon, James speaking, not forgetting to thank you for doing what you’re doing to help others.

I had a thought today – I don’t have any facts or figures, so it’s only just a guess that people who are having memory problems and other things are not able to see a doctor to get a diagnosis – not of dementia but of what the problem is. It could be something that’s treatable or it could be dementia or MCI, so I don’t think anybody would have had problems getting attention – but what I did wonder was, are helplines a lot busier with these sort of questions that people are asking; to talk about their symptoms and seeking some sort of advice or help.

So, that’s it, bye bye.
