“It hit me like a freight train” Stephen responds to what the latest news on his health.

I’ve just been put in bed. My carer’s just coming down now.

There’s one good thing from yesterday’s doctors appointment. I got on the weighing scales and I’m a little bit lighter than I thought I was, so. Gone down to fourteen stone from sixteen and a half. So yeah that’s quite good isn’t it.

Yeah, got to say in the last couple of days I haven’t been feeling at all well. I’ve been sort of – this is the first entry I’ve made today. So yeah, you know, just feeling a bit down and sluggish with it. It’s sort of hit me really. The reality of a heart problem. Yeah. Cause I’ve never had to face anything like this before so it’s all new. It’s all new and um, don’t really know what to feel about it. It’s sort of hit me like a freight train I guess, you could say it’s like a freight train. But there you go.

Hopefully next week might hear from the doctor, I’ve got blood results to ring up for, so see what that is, and got to wait for a community nurse to take more blood. Then out for this echo-thingy. Oh, echocardiogram I guess for me heart. You know. Check me heart and see what’s happening in there.
