Dory’s Alexa Demonstration

Hi, this is Dory. I am going to try and give you a demonstration of some of the things Alexa can do. “Alexa, remind me in three seconds to take my medication.” “Here is your reminder. Take my medication.” “Here is your reminder. Take my medication.” So that’s the reminder and you can remind it to tell you anything. Even if you’re out of the house if you said remind me to take your medication at 1 o’clock it will remind you on your phone. Here’s some of the things “Alexa, play me some Bruno Mars.” [faint music] “Alexa, stop!” She can play music like that. She can read you a book, an audio book. I’ve got Wendy Mitchell’s book so I’ll try that one quickly. Oh, she couldn’t find that one but she has got it. [Dory laughing] “Alexa, what’s the weather today?” “You can expect clouds with a low of 15 degrees.” So, there’s the weather. Um, as I say, it reminds you whatever you put in and if you want to [inaudible] a reminder, say, to take your tablets every day at such a time, if you say remind me every day on the times, it will do it continuous without you having to say ‘every day’. She does really do audio books. I’ve probably done this for a bit wrong.. But there you go, I hope that’s OK. ‘Bye!
