Dory reflects on the meaning DEEP brings to her life.

Hi this is Dory er I was listening to ‘Woman’s Hour’ this morning and it was about sort of ladies over 50 who for some reason or other had took a break from work and then after a few months or a year decided to go back to work because because they didn’t feel part of anything. Didn’t feel they had a purpose and they were finding it hard to get back into work because of their age. Um and they were asked why did they need to go back to work. Apart from the money um side of it a lot were saying that they they needed to be part of something so that they felt valued and useful and less forgotten. And I just thought that’s just what reminded me about DEEP really how good and important and just feeling useful again and the purpose and getting out there and spreading the word and helping other people and meeting up with friends; old friends and new friends. Just reminded me of um what DEEP means to me and I know lots of other people er that feel part of something and um valued and so I thought I’d do a diary about how I feel about what DEEP means to me and all the people in DEEP all new friends old and new.
