Agnes is adjusting to a slow recovery from pneumonia.

Good morning, everybody. It’s Agnes in Coatbridge calling just to say hello. It’s twenty minutes to two, and I can’t believe it. Although I’ve been awake since about seven o’clock, I’m still not up out of bed. This pneumonia and the aftermath of pneumonia is causing quite a lot – making my fatigue even tired. So that’s it. It’s – I am so fatigued it’s unbelievable. I get small energy bursts, which is great, and I’m able to do things. And I’m about to get up because my GP has called me and I have to go to the chemist to pick up more medication. I think it’s more antibiotics, not sure. But I’ve had to reassess my dementia and my self-management of what’s going on in my life at the moment because things that were routine and things that were working have now stopped working and it’s back to the drawing board again. So I just wanted to let you know that although these things have happened and although I have a tremendous sadness at times, I’m still upbeat most of the time and able to have and still manage to do a part of the dementia advocacy world and thank God for that. Although I need to travel differently, which might mean travelling first class so that I’m looked after appropriately and I have time and arrive more refreshed. Flying’s not a good idea at the moment. So yes, I’m having to look at my strategies and change them and tweak them a bit. Take care everybody. I’m now about to try and put my feet on the ground so that I can physically go down, take a bath, and go and get these new medications and things that the doctor’s put in the chemist for myself. Bye!
