Julie describes how her dementia has been getting a little worse of late.

Hello, this is Julie from YODA.
Sorry I haven’t recorded in a while. We all try to remain as up-beat and positive as possible in our messages, but none of us can claim that our journeys are easy or smooth, however well we appear to be.
in recent months, my Dementia symptoms have increased, leaving me with a little energy and meaning time skips by with many tasks left unachieved.
I find myself quoting, “Be more like Worzel Gummidge”. No, I haven’t gone, not yet. Worzel has several, interchangeable heads at his disposal and it’s at times like these I yearn for some respite, to take off the Dementia head and put my thinking head back on.
Time to sleep and wake feeling – being rested, a couple of days of NOT struggling with my balance, I just concentrate easily, making multitasking as easy as I once found it.
The place I find true strength is in the connections I’ve made with my Dementia Buddies, both real and virtual. These bonds make a true difference to me.
