Christine is finding the Sunflower invisible disability lanyard is not recognised by everyone.

Hi. This is Chris Maddox, I’m a Dementia Diarist and at the moment I’m travelling on the train from Cardiff to Eastbourne, back home. And it’s very peculiar and strange because there’s hardly anyone on the train and I’m just praying that I’ll be okay and I don’t catch any germs.
But I just wanted to talk about the sunflower lanyards because it’s supposed to be recognised in all of the train stations. However the train manager on this train from Cardiff to Paddington, and the people at Cardiff Railway Station, knew nothing about it. So I thought awareness was being raised and clearly it’s not getting around.
So I’ve been asked if I’ll email the Customer Services of Great Western Rail, which I will do, but once I spoke to them and told them what it was and explained, they think it’s a brilliant idea. So maybe a group of us, and other people, can just lobby their local train stations and bus stations, just to raise awareness about the sunflower lanyard. So they’ve been very good with me on the train and very helpful and I’ve booked passenger assistance. So I just wanted to say that.
