Melvyn despairs of the political class but is hopeful for the younger generation.

It’s Melvyn here.

I see this calamitous government has … um … got the lockdown rules wrong.

People into the country who’ve been on holiday … always, if allowed to go on holiday, will be um, have to come back and do a 14-days lockdown, so that um … in case they’ve got this coronavirus.

It seems ironic that this government lets 25 million people in, into this country, not having testing, didn’t know whether they’ve coronavirus or anything. I’d like to know how many of that 25 million that came into the country were infected. Because I’m pretty sure that there was, err, that quite a few percent of them were.

This government are using this, umm it’s called a ‘cap’ where they err … I’m just trying to find the right word, umm. When they don’t want something known, they divert to something else. And um, which people have got a ‘bee in their bonnet’ and get a ‘bee in their bonnet’, so that it covers over the real, the real truth, and what’s going on. And this government are good at it. They were good on it last time and they are good on it now.

Good on diverting the truth. And telling lies. And we’ve got to hold this government to task. Politically, we’ve got to. We’ve got to do something about it. And until that happens, we ain’t going to get nowhere. Believe me.

It’s not only the Tories. It’s the Labour and the Liberal people, the Liberal MPs and the Labour MPs – they’re all the same. They’re all power-crazy. They should be for the people, when they sign up to be an MP. It’s for the people of the country, the majority, the whole of the country they should be working for.

It would be an honour for me to do it, to be an MP. I’d love to do it. And um … it would be such a pleasure to be able to work for the people of this country. The people of this country are fantastic, most of them – you only get the few, the bad apples.

But I um … I can see a light. I can see in the younger people – hope. Where I’ve told before about, when I was talking at the grammar schools last year and the year before, and the year before and the year before. I have got hope with the younger people. I have definitely got hope … that they will rise up and see the truth as it is. And not the cover-ups and what it was.

So there you go. Yeah, meaningful change. Meaningful change.
