Melvyn is appalled at government announcement on pay rises for the public sector.

Well, what a horrendous…it’s Melvyn here.

What a horrendous disclosure with the government of giving the NHS a two point measly percent rise. It’s absolutely horrendous, that this government are treating doctors and nurses like rabble. They haven’t had a decent rise in the last fifteen years.

And, I think it’s absolutely horrendous that this government have got the cheek to keep on harking on about this 2.5 percent rise that the NHS has got. I think it’s absolutely disgusting. They’ve let this country down, and they’re still letting it down. And they’ve let the NHS down, and the doctors and nurses. The fantastic cleaners, and everyone involved in the NHS, apart from the managers and the people that run it [inaudible] shed a tear. But the doctors and nurses have.

How horrendous and disgusting this government is.
