Agnes empathises with Steve’s struggle with the stairs.
Hi everybody, it’s Agnes in Coatbridge. I’ve just listened to Steve talk about his climb to Everest — well, really a visit to the loo, but that’s what it felt like.
Steve, you were so eloquent, and two weeks ago that could have been me. Thankfully, I’m better today. I hope today you’re feeling a little stronger. But oh, my goodness how you took me back in an earlier (?). What I’d done was: to make it easier for me, I put a little seat to break my journey up so I could sit down and to pause and have that mindful moment and just be grateful that I managed to get to the toilet without having an accident. And I had a lovely bed and a nice bedroom to get back to.
Once again, Dementia Diaries, sharing these magic moments encourages us to know that we are not alone. That’s all I want to say. Bye for now, and thank you Steve, once again.
