The first snowfall of the year is tempting a very brave Agnes out of her front door.
Good morning everybody, it’s Agnes from Coatbridge chatting to you.
Today is Thursday, I think it’s the 3rd of December and we’ve had, in North Lanarkshire, our first falling of snow.
I thought it was great news about the vaccination etc and getting apprehensive, excited but there is a lot of fear there too because I haven’t been outside really on my own.
So, today I’m standing here, I’ve got my woolly hat on. Woolly hat, woolly scarf, woolly mitts, snow boots on and I’m going out.
I don’t think the professionals would be very happy with me but I have to do this. Do you know what? I am so frightened to take this step outside the door. My legs are like jelly. But what’s the alternative? To be locked in my home forevermore? I don’t think so. That’s not me. So I’m going to be careful, I’ve taken all my precautions and then I’m just going to take this venture out.
It’s a picture postcard out there and I am not going to miss it, I’m not going to be an on-looker, I want to be a participant. I won’t speak to anybody so I won’t need to keep social distance. I will just be free in a safe way.
Take care everybody. Bye.
