A DEEP Hug bear, and especially the friends behind it, brings some comfort to Agnes during a very difficult time.

Good morning everybody, it’s Agnes from Coatbridge. It seems to be 26th January, according to Alexa. I’m feeling very very very tired and wearied. This pneumonia and things that have been happening to me since pre-Christmas have really taken it out of me. But I think the medication is kicking in, but it’s causing a lot of side effects and distress.

Oh yes, that’s why I was calling. Yesterday I got a great surprise via the post. I got a beautiful dementia Deep Hug Bear from Gail. I can’t remember Gail’s surname, and Innovations in Dementia. And I want to thank everybody, because all through the night, when I was feeling really low and struggling, Grace, my Deep Hug Bear, kept me company. Many thanks to everybody who voted for me, who done whatever it was – I didn’t realise that my name had been picked out of the hat.

So, yes, thank you. Thank God I’ve got my virtual friends, who have been amazing to me, amazing – without you I wouldn’t have been able to keep going. I’m sure that in a few weeks I’ll start to feel a wee bit better, a wee bit more right in myself. But unfortunately, I’ve think we’ve cancelled everything that I’m doing this week, because I just ain’t fit for it.

Thanks now.
