A platform for projects BY people with dementia is crucial, as Keith explains.

Hello everyone, it’s Keith Oliver here, reporting in from Canterbury.

This is the first of two diaries which I hope to post today. The first one is rather shorter than the second one. Here we go with the first – talking about projects involving people with dementia.

My view is that there is a place for projects and activities run for all those of us with dementia. However, more often there is a purpose and a place for projects and activities done with us, but also there needs to be a platform for those projects which are done by us. DEEP is at the forefront of this, alongside the Three Nations Dementia Working Group.

I’ll sign off now and come back to it to expand upon this later.
