A call to the DWP leaves Jacqui in a spin.

Hello, it’s Jacqui from Stockport.

I was talking to a friend, and realised that my health has changed a lot in the last few years, and she was going to get a review on her PIP. So I thought: gee, I haven’t done that. So I phoned the DWP, and of course had to wait to go through all the automated, press this, press that, and then after half an hour, got an advisor.

She was very nice, but at the end she said she would send the form, but when we send it in, your benefits could go up, could go down, or they could stop altogether.

Well. I don’t think that’s right, to say that to us. That really put me in a spin, because I thought: well, I can’t have them stop altogether. I don’t think it’s right to put that fear into us. Especially when you do suffer with anxiety and fear, it doesn’t help.

Thank you. Bye bye.
