“We were interviewed about how we use technology”

Another interesting meeting. I attended Holyrood’s tele-health and tele-care conference and three experts on the panel living with different conditions; blindness, mental health, and dementia. We were interviewed about how we use technology. What difference this makes in daily life, how easy or difficult to use new gadgets; gadgets to improve independence, socializing and safety and more. Understanding it is important to involve us at the early stage of design for what is right for each of us. Pennie, our Chair, was fantastic. She got to know us, listen to know what was important and prepared us prior to interview. She got it so right.
Many gadgets were around. I didn’t understand them all but with patience and help, willing to try new things. Our audience were shy and missed an opportunity to find out so much more from us. Maybe next time. We do not bite!
