“Come on guys, I spend every waking hour trying to help communities dementia friendly”

Am I fuming? Too right I am.

I’ve just been refused admission into a church with my dog, who I am training to be my dementia dog. Yes I am fully aware of the law, that says churches are the only places that are allowed to refuse. But hey, when my alzheimer’s deteriorates, which it will, I will need my dog to accompany everywhere. So it’s vital that she gets used to a loud, vibrant church whilst she’s young.

Is it something about Christian communities? About a year ago I was told that I couldn’t take two baby guinea pigs into a support, as therapy for the members. The reason for this was that the church had a five-star hygiene rating, and would be in danger of losing it.

Come on guys, I spend every waking hour trying to help communities dementia friendly. Why are some churches slow, or refuse to be involved?
