“Just think if I hadn’t had Alzheimer’s, I’d be probably still bored with everything.”

Hiya, it’s Jo Bennett.

Haven’t reported in for a while. I’ve been really, really, really busy. It’s amazing how busy I am with talks and stuff and seeing friends and doing runs and one thing and another. There’s just no time for much else. It’s absolutely incredible and I’m loving it. Who would have thought that by getting Alzheimer’s I would be so happily occupied, going here and there and everywhere.

I’m up to Warrington today to give a talk, and met people from other things that I’ve … done with other people. This dementia thing is a huge loop where you keep on bumping into people. You’ve been to this conference and that conference, and seeing somebody here and there. It’s incredible, I’m loving it! I’ve never had such a fantastic social life. And the EDUCATE business is amazing.

Just think if I hadn’t had Alzheimer’s, I’d be probably still bored with everything, as a sort of housewife, not doing much at all. And now here I am, doing good for the cause, as it were, dementia. And helping people. Giving stuff back, I feel.

And the nights are lighter! So everything’s coming up roses at the moment. Fantastic!

No more for now, bye!
