John why are we not playing more of a role

Hi this is John.  I’m just sitting here thinking about people with dementia, like myself, and why we are not playing more of a role, in getting them to positions of where we can make decisions at all levels for ourselves instead of people in these positions making decisions for us.  People with dementia are still capable of making these decisions and I can’t understand why people like me and other people that is in my position is not up there with these people making the kind of decisions that matters to us.  Thank you.
