Just Ask Us – Poster design comments with Glenda and Ann
Interviewer – “So I am here in Porthmadog with Glenda and Ann and they are having a look at a poster and they are being asked about what they think about the poster. Ann what do you think about it?” Ann – The first thing I saw and noticed was the happy, smiling faces and obviously it is related to dementia so we can look that way, so yeah. Interviewer – That’s great. That really stands out for you? Ann – Yes Interviewer – Glenda, what strikes you first about that poster? Glenda – It is so hard to take in. For me it is a lot of information to take in – there’s a lot going on. You’ve got to look about, you’ve got to see, you’ve got to constantly look at the right thing there’s just a lot of information to take in. Interviewer – They’ve got the title at the top of the poster. Glenda – That’s okay, yeah, you can take that in, there’s too much. Interviewer – The title is quite light, but the picture’s too busy? Glenda – Yes, and then you’ve got a lot going down and there’s a bit too much of information to take in. I just want it right but it’s too much. Interviewer – What about the colours? It’s purple with white print isn’t it? Glenda – Yes. It’s just all too busy. I just look at it and I think ?????? and hold up to it, it’s too busy. Interview – Yes, okay. Anything else Ann? Ann – No, for me, that’s okay to me but we are all different aren’t we? Interview – Yes
