Stephen says ‘we amble not ramble’ on our dementia walking group

Hello, yeah this is Stephen, Dementia Diaries, er, this morning er I woke up feeling a bit er groggy with it I guess, er we went on our, one of our local walks erm it’s called the camel trail and er, there was a pub right next door to it and we went along the trail for about a mile and a half or so because it’s an an amble not a ramble, erm, we go just as far as we can as I’m in a wheelchair as well it affects it a lot more it but erm yeah we [inaudible] this morning and we had a cup of tea and then we went back to the car park and in to the pub and had lunch and come back home after that so It was a really good day. it’s been a good day today, erm I get a lot of bad days and get a lot of good days, so it’s a good day today so that’s one good thing but yeah, and tomorrow I’m off out with my careers who come and take me out once a week for four hours which is good, erm we go out all local erm spots in Cornwall I guess, trying to find somewhere to go, Down here it’s a bit difficult but we do try erm, which is good erm, but I didn’t go to my COPD club this afternoon, erm I cancelled that one but yeah, it’s really really good to get out I er I absolutely into it 100 percent, I love to going out and doing things as a dementia group. They are all good friends now and we have been for the last fours I think er yeah, we’re on our own now, we fund our own walk erm not through the Sensory Trust, we fund our own walk now yeah because it’s good, we can go wherever we like because we’re not really limited, we just go all over the place, erm which is, I really love it but erm, bye for now!
