Dory’s audiology experience ‘If I hadn’t has said I would have come out with nothing’

In my diary today I went to see the audiologist. I really had to stand my ground because they were saying it was just one of those things, psychological that the volumes of noise affect me. So I had a disagreement with her saying, “it’s not psychological at all. More or less she said there was not much she could do about it, that I’d just have to avoid the situations. I was saying how it’s affecting my everyday life, not being able to go to certain cafes. Anyway, she went to get a leaflet on Hyperacusis for me to take home to read. Anyway, while she was out there she said she had spoken to someone else and I said could she take a mold of my ear so I could have some defenders fitted.
You know, you really have to fight them, so if I hadn’t have said, or argued with her, I would have come away with nothing. So I’ve got to go back in 2 weeks and hope the molds will be done. But I’ve also bought some ear defender headphones that I’d seen, I think Howard had some. So, hopefully I can do things if they cut down on the noise.
So, that’s it with the audiologist.
