Melvyn reflects on the poem he wrote to mark the death of his beloved wife.

Hello it’s Melvyn here. I just want to .. this is what I wrote in my diary not so long ago. The heading is “Jan I love you.”
And I’ve put:
19th November 2017 I died.
It was on a Sunday at 6 o’clock in the morning I felt my life over.
The thoughts are still with me the good times the bad times are still with me.
I wish I could still have them back.
I would give everything, I would give you everything to have you back.
The feeling when trying to sleep, to hear her breathe, to touch her, to smell her
Just to have her memory still
Just to have that feeling of love
My house is empty of love,
the soul is gone and I will never have it again.

Can’t say no more at the moment.

But it’s a fantastic day, it’s Friday 20th September and it’s 20 past 11 and I’m sitting on my couch, concentrating on my life, my soul, my body and I’m going to go now – bye.
