Agnes is getting frustrated with losing things.

Hello it’s Agnes calling from Coatbridge, well it’s christmas time and it brings happiness and sadness with it and the ups and downs and I have to say I just love christmas, I mean I really do, I love the christmas tree, I love my house all decorated up.
Erm.. but I’ve been having a bit of issues and challenges um I lost my passport which is one of the first things that went wrong, next was me um and that caused me having to go to the “I don’t know” the airport, to see and then try to retrieve it which is not easy. Which reminds me Wendy “maybe this would be one of our christmas what is it.. how you can help if I don’t know”?.
But it’s good to make sure that in the back of your what is it ? passport, that you’ve got contact details so that the whoever finds it can phone you. Anyway the good news, I got my passport and drama over thank goodness. My daughter was here and she helped me resolve it and we got a good positive solution um thanks to the staff. The man and the lady I don’t have their names here, I’m going to send a lovely erm thank you to their bosses, they were so helpful and Glasgow lost property office I think it’s called, they were fantastic and very understanding an um with an I can do attitude, which I loved.
So that was drama number one.
What did I lose the next time?, the following day erm out with my daughter doing some bits and bobs and I was buying noise cancelling headphones and my rucksack went missing. How did it go missing?, goodness only knows. One minute I had it next minute it was gone so we had to report it to the police and now that caused my head tremendous distress because they said what was in it? “huh” I said, I have dementia goodness only knows, I know my purse was in it, it was stuffed and now it’s time to remember what the stuff was erm and my brains been twiddling round and round and round like a stuck record trying to recall what did I do with it. So it’s as if one minute I put it down and the next minute the rucksacks gone erm so it was gone within fifteen minutes, twenty minutes maximum my purse is gone and various things like that so all the drama that comes with that and it’s my daughters lease tomorrow I feel as if I’ve let her down you know.
Then I realised that although I love christmas my brain does not love it and its changes in routine etc and part of me says stay in your house Agnes, with your lovely decorations and don’t go out there until after christmas so you won’t lose things and have issues. So I need to put a strategy in place for that.
That’s the end of my diary, the good news is I’m safe all is well and I just have to get used to this new rucksack that I’m using and get a new purse and set it up with the stuff that you put in purses, money and cards and things. So take care everybody be safe, be careful out there and remember sensory overload annoys.. uh uh.. not for everybody,
Bye.
