Jacqui is off to a meeting to talk about developing high quality personalised care.
Hello, Diary! Wishing everybody a happy 2020. On Tuesday the 7th, I’ve been invited to attend the next Dementia Choices Action Network (D-Can) full assembly. And D-Can is the newly formed joint initiative from the Alzheimer’s Society, NHS England & Improvement, and the Coalition for Collaborative Care. Its mission is to ensure that as many people as possible affected by dementia benefit from high-quality personalised care. Now, the subjects that I could choose from, or the groups that I could choose from to be part of was shared decision making or personalised care and support-planning – that’s the one where I’ve been invited to go to. I asked for that one, my first choice. Oh and the second – third – one is choice. Fourth one is social prescribing. Turn over the page…fifth one is supported self-management, and the sixth is personal health budget. Well, quite priveleged to be on this. And have to really think about what matters to me, not only now but in the future and how I want to be supported in my life and the work that I do for dementia activities. So it’s goig to be very interesting and I’ll report back when I get back, or maybe afterwards. Thank you everybody, take care, bye-bye!
