Every cloud has a silver lining says Agnes.
Good morning, everybody. It’s Agnes in Coatbridge.
I hope you can hear from my voice that I think my respiratory challenges are starting to get better, a little, a day at a time.
Oh gosh, where did I want to talk about it? You know, they say every something cloud has a silver lining and I believe that the cloud that’s been hanging over me for the last few months, with these respiratory challenges, the silver lining is really, has been remarkable.
I want to thank, I think it was Philly, for sending me the chart about the sputum, which is going to be a great asset to us when I’m dealing with a professional, because everybody has a different idea of what’s normal, what’s virulent and what’s purulent and all these very professional words, so, if I know what’s normal for Agnes and I’ve got a colour chart to just say, “That’s my normal, that’s what it’s like today”, it relieves my brain and takes pressure off it, so that’s a great relief, so – a silver lining, thank you, Philly.
The other silver lining is that I – my – Joanna, my PA, she started two weeks ago to cancel most of my commitments due to my condition, and then with this Coronavirus, the ones which will have to be cancelled which was in April, et cetera, they’re getting cancelled, so I look at my diary and instead of having that dread of “Oh no, my pain’s going to get worse”, I am putting things in place to keep Agnes’s pain occupied – learning a new crochet stitch, doing arty things, bringing my planters inside so that I can play with the soil and (inaudible) outdoor thing, if you like – and also, with all these cancellations, it’s giving me time to process what I’m involved in and what will need to desist, and so I can be more – I don’t know what the word is – I’m going to be more – I’m going to use the word “choosy”, it’s going to be MY choice, I’M in the driving seat of what is important to me to (inaudible) on, which, as everybody knows is sensory and research is clear to me the most important plans and also dissemination of my book and that actual fabled report, so I’ve got enough to be dealing with, and then I’ll choose other things.
That was it. I’m losing the plot here. Yes – so, my brain is having time to process. Whereas I was busy, doing, I didn’t have time to process, so I’m now getting my brain, and my brain thanks me for it, time to process what’s important to Agnes and to get my life in balance.
So – yes, every cloud had a silver lining and that’s some of the blessings and silver linings that I wanted to tell you about so far. There are others and I might make another diary on that.
Bye for now, be safe, keep washing your hands with that tune in your heart.
Take care.
