Gail ponders the best way to keep track of the days

Hi it’s Gail.

I had a very restless night’s sleep last night. I been having bad headaches for a couple of days but at last this morning my head is not aching.

I am a little confused though on what day it is. I had to double double check my phone for the day and date this morning.

I have also realised, that when you have dementia a calendar or a diary means absolutely nothing, it’s only a page full of numbers and days of the week. They don`t actually tell you what day it is.

On the plus side I do get to see some lovely pictures of my grandson as I flip the pages. My calendar was a gift from my grandson Adam, and the photos always bring a smile to my face.

I do have Alexa but asking her what day it is at silly oclock in the morning is not a good idea as she always sounds so loud when our bungalow is so quiet.

I don’t think I need to know what day or time it is at five o clock in the morning.

So this morning I am thankful I have my phone and my Ipad to let me know what day it is.

Have a lovely day.

Bye
