Dory is really enjoying DEEPNESS Radio and shows us how to get Alexa to play it.

Hi this is Dory and I’m doing a diary about the Deepness Dementia Radio and how much I’m really enjoying it. I’ve not long found out how to get it to play on my A-L-E-X-A Google thing [laughs] – I don’t want it to hear me. But after saying, after you have to say “Alexa, start Deepness Radio” you have to say “Start” and not “Play”.

Anyway, since then it’s playing and I was listening to little bits off and on but I’ve just got it on all the time now and I’m really enjoying the music, the stories. At 8 o’clock that’s when I put it on; they have a relaxation with zen and it’s really nice, and then they have all types of music – Celtic music – ooh all sorts, but what I like as well, they don’t just play the one song, they play like a whole hour or an album of that one artist.

So, for instance, yesterday through the day there was…we had an hour or half an hour, I can’t remember, but we had ABBA and then there was Bob Dylan, Meat Loaf, you know, all a few albums from them and I really like all that music you see – sort of 60s, 70s. And then Karen tells, reads stories – oh I just think it’s a wonderful station and also to put the cherry on top of the cake as to say there’s no adverts, no silly jingles going on, it’s just…yeah so I’ve got it on now and it’s playing Albatross.

OK, oh, there’s Alexa telling me…giving me a reminder for my medication so there you go, so I’ll have to go and take my medication [laughs]. Ok, bye.
