No-one should feel unsafe or scared says Steve. Unfortunately that’s not the reality for many, as he explains.

Hello, it’s Steve Clifford.
Living with this dreadful disease has more problems than people can imagine. All the violence that’s going on, the stabbings, the shootings, the murders, the mindless violence makes me so frightened. I am afraid to go out, especially when it’s dark and I wouldn’t even dream of going to our local shops in the evening.
You only have to look at someone nowadays when that look provokes a a violent response.
Ever since that pensioner was stabbed and murdered in London on his mobility scooter, Margaret won’t let me go out on my mobility scooter without her being with me.
We shouldn’t feel like this. We shouldn’t feel afraid to go out. And there doesn’t seem to be any support for us. The whole system is broken. The Police don’t care and are non-existent. If you call them they don’t come. Yet if we tried to protect ourselves it would be us in the wrong.
I am 76 but feel I could pack all these shitheads, in my head I am only 25! The daily news however gives me the absolute reality that I need.
No one should feel unsafe. No one should feel scared.
Thank you.
