Melvyn is campaigning to improve the quality of care for people with dementia.
Oh hello, it’s Melvyn here,
I just wanted to keep you in the picture about the Care Homes committee from the Forget Me Nots which is – it has slowed down a bit because I’ve been ill, Ann-Marie’s been ill, the main two people that are running it, so we’ve been held up a little bit, but I’ve phoned the Equality and Human Rights Commission up today for information and once I’ve got that we’re going to have a meeting the 10th February, so we’re trying to get things, I’m trying to get things together and to get legislation in place, not legislation but to get things going and because we need proper legislation, we’ve got to do it properly, we’ve got to get involved, it’s so involved and they can choose the place (?) and Care Homes and care in hospitals and we need, we need to get it right because it’s going to take a long time for us to sort things out so we’ve got to do it right.
We are going to help ourselves from the DEEP, all groups in DEEP eventually, we are going to write to all DEEP groups which we will need help from DEEP, we – everybody’s backing us – we are (inaudible) emails because they tried and haven’t succeeded but I don’t ….. want to fail because the care system in this country is horrendous …. and the dreaded old Tory party aren’t going to spend it on the old people, that’s for sure!
People with Dementia …. local councils …. I’ve got information, I’ve got an item off the BBC index as little as the first of the eighth 2019 about horrendous ….. lack of spending on community care and people with Dementia.
Just remember that, all you lot out there who voted for Boris! Live with it!
Bye!
