Chris plays a fitting tribute to Colonel Tom as well as to the NHS and other key workers.

Hello Diarists, this is Chris Norris from Kent.

A few weeks ago I did a diary about how I`ve been going outside on a Thursday evening and joining in with the Clap for the NHS and key workers to thank them for all the good work that they have been doing during the virus lock down.

I play tunes on my tenor horn and this week I was joined by a lady from down the road who played a saxophone. Of course during the lock down we can`t practice together so we just hope when we play together that it works out OK.

This week we started with `For he`s a jolly good fellow` and followed it with the Morecambe and Wise duet `Bring me sunshine`. A bit of a hiccup in the middle but we ploughed on regardless. We finished with `Happy birthday` as a dedication to Captain Tom on his hundredth birthday, who, through his fundraising walk has raised thirty million pounds for the NHS.

Well I hope you enjoy this week rendition.
