Chris plays ‘I Can Sing a Rainbow’ during the key workers Thursday Clapping – wonderful!
Hello Dementia Diarist,
This is Chris Norris from Ashford in Kent. Each week, I go outside my house, and play my tenor horn during the NHS ‘thank you workers’ clapping session on a Thursday. I am joined by a lady from down the road, who plays along on her Alto saxophone. This is the fourth week we have done this together, and it’s well received by the locals. This week, we played ‘For He’s a Jolly-Good Fellow’. We followed this with ‘I Can Sing a Rainbow’, in line with the logo that relates to all the good work that is being carried out by people in this pandemic crisis. I hope you enjoy the following rendition which will take you back, to a song, from when we were all very young. (plays ‘He’s a Jolly-Good Fellow’ on the trumpet, followed by ‘I Can See a Rainbow’) (claps for the NHS throughout)
