Peter is really pleased how ‘The Archers’ has depicted dementia and recommends you listen

Much jubilation this evening, at last there’s some realistic, truthful information about the facts of living with dementia in the media.

It was tonight’s, that’s June 4th 2025, edition of ‘The Archers’ on Radio 4, being repeated tomorrow lunchtime, June 5th and then again in the omnibus edition at 11 ‘o’ clock on the 8th June so this episode will be about 11:30.

It was very moving to hear words spoken by actors having the conversation we have every day about dispelling the old fashioned doom and gloom aspects of dementia and the benefits of taking a positive and optimistic attitude.

It came across with great sincerity and authority and I hope it is heard and repeated widely.

I shall be promoting the conversation between the Bellamy’s and Arthur for ‘Pick of the Week’.
