“It was a very interesting and informative meeting”

Hello, it’s Steve Clifford. Last week some of our Educate Group here in Stockport met up with two other groups, one from York, and the other from Oldham. We met in Manchester, and the meeting was supported by Deep. It was a very interesting and informative meeting. Our aim was to try and bring dementia awareness, especially the post-diagnostic support, more uniformly throughout all the groups. One topic that we thought needed addressing was that of GP surgeries, and the total lack of any dementia awareness in most of them. It was thought a poster sent out nationally to all surgeries outlining dementia awareness that could, and should, be displayed in all GP surgeries and reception areas. We just hope that this does happen. That’s all. It was a really cracking meeting. Thank you, bye.
